Compare PNG, JPG, WebP and SVG backgrounds
Compare transparency, compression and compatibility, with working export examples.
Make a blank white image at your exact pixel dimensions. Download PNG, JPG, WebP or SVG for a presentation, layout or wallpaper, directly in your browser.
Enter a width and height, keep #FFFFFF for a white background, and select a download format. The preview fits your screen; the exported file keeps your chosen pixel dimensions. You can also switch to a solid color, gradient or transparent canvas.
Open a plain screen, adjust a light for video calls, or follow a visual display check without downloading an image.
Fill your screen with white, choose another color, or keep the display awake while you use it.

Create imageUse an opaque #FFFFFF canvas behind text, in a presentation, or as a clean base for a design mockup. A white background covers the layer behind it, unlike a transparent PNG. The dedicated white image tool includes square, widescreen and 4K starting sizes you can adjust before downloading.

Prepare a simple base for your next social post. Start with a 1080 × 1080 square or a 1080 × 1920 story canvas, then choose a solid color or gradient. Download your background and add photos or branding in the editor you already use.

Give your screen, website header, or slide deck a backdrop in your own colors. Blend a linear, radial, or conic gradient and preview it as you edit. Use 3840 × 2160 pixels for a 4K UHD desktop wallpaper, or choose a portrait size for your phone.

Need a blank canvas that lets the background show through? Create an empty transparent image at the exact size you need for an editing project or a layout test. Save it as PNG to keep those pixels see-through; a white image, by comparison, covers the surface behind it.

Browse editable pixel presets for posts, screens and layouts, and understand their limits.
Learn why a blank preview can be correct, and how to preserve empty pixels in a download.
Enter whole-pixel dimensions or use a preset. The downloaded file uses these values, even when the preview is smaller.
Switch between a transparent canvas, a solid color, a gradient or a geometric pattern before exporting.
Choose PNG for sharp edges or transparency, JPG for an opaque image, WebP for a compressed file, or SVG for vectors.
Drawing and export run on your device. Large canvases use more memory; reduce dimensions if your browser cannot complete a download.
Pick an image type and a size preset, or enter your exact width and height.
Explore colors, gradients, patterns, and optional text. Every change previews instantly.
Download your image in PNG, JPG, WebP, or SVG. No signup and no watermark.

A 3840 × 2160 canvas fits a 16:9 UHD screen. Use portrait dimensions for a phone, and check the wallpaper crop on the device after downloading.
Create a 4K imageEverything you need before your next download.
Yes. Every generator is free to use, with no account, subscription, watermark, or download limit. Create as many blank, plain, gradient, or pattern images as you need.
Yes. Choose 4K for 3840 × 2160 pixels, or 8K for 7680 × 4320. Custom dimensions support up to 8192 pixels per side and 33,554,432 total pixels. Your browser and available memory may impose a lower practical limit.
A white image contains opaque #FFFFFF pixels. Blank Image starts with an empty transparent canvas; Transparent Image also lets you build a text or border overlay without a background. Their checkerboard preview is a guide and is not part of the download. Choose PNG, WebP or SVG to keep transparency; JPG uses a white background.
Image generators support PNG, JPG, WebP and SVG; exact file size generation uses PNG only. Local file tools accept static PNG, JPEG and WebP. Compression exports JPG or WebP; resizing and conversion also export PNG. JPEG cannot preserve transparency: generators use white, while file tools use your chosen background color.
You can use your generated colors, gradients, and original geometric images in personal or commercial work. You are responsible for rights to any text, names, or other content you add. No attribution to this tool is required.
Generation, resizing, compression and conversion run locally in your browser. A selected image file is read on your device, not uploaded to an image server. Theme preferences and explicitly saved settings can stay in browser storage. Shared generator links include the settings you choose to share.
Enter whole-number width and height values in the generator, check the preview and select a download format. The preview may be scaled to fit your screen, while the file uses your selected pixel dimensions. If you already have a picture to resize, use Image Resizer rather than the blank canvas generator.
Pixel dimensions and file bytes measure different things. PNG stores pixels without lossy compression and can be very small for one flat color. JPG and WebP use different encoders and quality settings. Compare the actual exported files; a larger file is not automatically better quality, and changing a filename extension does not convert it.
Set the mood for a social post, refresh your wallpaper, or give a presentation a clean opening. Pick a canvas and make it yours.
Start with a 1080 × 1080 post or a 1080 × 1920 story. Pick colors that feel like you, download your background, then add photos and text in your usual editor.
A soft sunset gradient or a quiet wash of color can make a screen feel like yours. Choose a 4K desktop canvas or a portrait phone size, then build a wallpaper around your own palette.
Leave room for your ideas with a white canvas, or set the tone with a simple gradient. Start at 1920 × 1080, then add your title in a slide app or use the background for a project cover.
