Choose the right blank image tool for your project
A white image is opaque white. A transparent image contains an alpha channel so another background can show through. A plain image uses a single color, while a gradient blends colors across the canvas. Choose the tool that matches the result you need, then customize its settings.
If a downloaded image appears blank, check its color and transparency against your viewer's background. A transparent PNG may look white in one application and show a checkerboard in another. The checkerboard in our preview is a transparency guide, not part of a transparent export.
Why pixel dimensions and image file size are different
Width and height describe the image's pixel grid. KB or MB describe the bytes saved in the file. Two 1920 × 1080 images can have very different file sizes because a flat background, a detailed pattern and a compressed gradient store differently. A larger file does not automatically contain a sharper image.
To change an existing picture's dimensions, use the resizer. To try reducing its stored bytes, use the compressor and compare the actual result. The exact-file-size PNG generator serves a different task: it creates a new image and adds valid padding to reach a supported target size. It does not compress an existing photograph.
What to check when an image export fails
Check the selected dimensions first. Generators support up to 8192 pixels on either side and 33,554,432 pixels in total, but your browser may run out of memory sooner. Try a smaller canvas, remove unnecessary text or effects, and download again. Check whether your browser blocked a download or saved the file in an unexpected folder.
For local resizing, compression and conversion, choose a static PNG, JPEG or WebP no larger than 20 MiB. These tools do not open SVG, HEIC or animated images. If the destination rejects a valid download, check its accepted formats, pixel dimensions and file-size limit rather than repeatedly changing the filename extension.
