Generate a ruled-paper background with adjustable line spacing and colors for writing, notes, and handwriting practice.
Free to use. No signup or watermark.Make a ruled-paper image with evenly spaced horizontal writing lines. Use a narrow interval for compact notes or a larger interval for bigger handwriting and layout practice. Choose quiet line colors and a canvas shape that suits your notebook or note-taking app. The image is a flexible writing background; its physical line spacing depends on how you scale it when printing. For wider ruled paper, increase the line spacing before downloading; choose the final page scale in your notes app or printer because pixels do not fix physical ruling.

The generator draws horizontal rules across the canvas. The useful spacing depends on your handwriting size and how the image is printed or displayed.
Start with an A4-proportioned 2480 × 3508 image or another page shape that suits your notebook. Larger pixel spacing gives more room between lines at the same display size. Changing the page's final scale also changes the apparent spacing, even if the file stays the same.
A pale blue-gray rule is often a useful starting point. Inspect it behind your actual handwriting or annotation color. The tool draws repeated horizontal lines; it does not automatically add a notebook margin, headings, page numbers, or a handwriting font.
For printing, review margins and fit-to-page controls, then measure a sample if physical spacing matters. For a notes app, import the page and inspect it at your normal zoom. If the rules look too strong, lighten the line color before reducing the image resolution and risking softer output.

Yes. Increase the pattern spacing to leave more room between horizontal lines. Reduce it when you need a more compact note-taking background.
No. The presets provide useful digital page proportions. Line spacing uses pixels, and your print dimensions and scale determine the spacing on paper.

A soft sunset gradient or a quiet wash of color can make a screen feel like yours. Choose a 4K desktop canvas or a portrait phone size, then build a wallpaper around your own palette.
Leave room for your ideas with a white canvas, or set the tone with a simple gradient. Start at 1920 × 1080, then add your title in a slide app or use the background for a project cover.
